It’s been a long time!

Hi Mamis!

So the summer has passed us by (was it ever really even here?) and I’m still breastfeeding…

STILL!

The good news is that it’s down to 2x a day

The bad news is that my breasts are still not mine

I’m trying to wean on my daughter’s time table but man…I’m dying to get my boobs back!

While this happens I promise to keep updating my blog (even when life gets in the way) and I’m thinking of expanding this internet space of mine to include more product reviews, raves, bashes, and Mami life hacks…what do you all think?

Let me know Mamis…

Have a great afternoon 🙂

Sneaking exercise in – Introducing Val’s Weekly Challenge

Hi mamis!

I have a confession to make….I haven’t been working out. My chichos are no smaller thanks to not working out consistently and not watching what I eat (Girl Scout cookies are a killer). So instead of beating myself up about it, I have decided to look for ways to add exercise into my normal everyday activities (aside from recommitting to working out 3x a week at home). I have come up with a weekly challenge designed to make me move more, sweat more and burn those pesky calories that have crept up on me.

So without further delay:

Val’s Weekly Challenge is on!

Week 1’s challenge is…STAIRS…no elevator for a week (or longer if you want to really commit). I hope my fellow mamis join me…at the very least your booty will get a lift!

Meatball Walks!

Hi Mamis!

I’m very happy to report that at 10 months and 1 week old meatball is walking!!! She never had a walker, I never bought her any stationary entertainers or jumpers on the advice of my very good friend VT. (child development specialist). The only tool I used a walking harness called “Walking Wings” faithfully every day for a couple of months (for about 10-15 minutes daily). I took a very “old world/natural parenting” approach and allowed her to crawl/roll around/sit/lay down on the floor and let her do her thing. I made sure I got her socks with little rubber grips so that she wouldn’t slip, and that the floors were always clean and baby proof.

I’m just so happy that meatball is walking 🙂
